The Partner and Partner Contacts can be used in several usecases.
1. Track partners as involved parties/team members on transaction objects like Service/Work Tickets, Activities, Opportunities, Leads, and Quotes
2. Provision partner users so they can login into C4C and the Cloud Portal. As an admin you can configure more granular access control security so these partner users may not have the same level of access to certain data or certain work centers than an employee user.
3. Collaborate with partners on specific transaction scenarios such as
a. Collaborating on an opportunity
b. Collaborating on a Service/Work ticket
c. Partner can create a Service/Work ticket in behalf of a customer
d. Partner can be the processor of a Service/Work ticket in behalf of the service organization
