I will check with the non SAP Portal team how it will work, and let them know the option suggested by you.
Although I have one more thing to ask, in portal even I am broadcasting workbook, it look like link to me, ending with .xml.
How the file (workbook) are stored in portal. Will it be possible to provide the URL to non SAP portal and then as soon as they click on that it will prompt for SAP portal user id and password and then only the real workbook will be get opened.
Where as for non BW users it will be physical file (workbook) and since they don't have user id and password then they can not get the refresh data, where as have workbook as static data (which is broadcasted).
I know I am asking more now.
